Purple - Seen at Pucci, Valentino and Lanvin. All shades from soft lavender to deep violet We love this purple trench coat a key shape for winter teamed with the seasons hottest colour, perfect for those who want to get noticed. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Metallics - including Pewter (Jill Sander) understated Sequins (Burberry),gold (Ralph Lauren) are hot for this season. To look really stylish in the evening we would choose this pewter evening dress or pewter beaded dress. Primary colours and block colours have been seen at Marc Jacobs, Pucci. For an excellent high street version of this look we really like this pleated dress. Knitwear - seen at Missoni, Stella McCartney and Paul Smith included oversized sweater and scarfs, big knits, waffle patterns and interesting details. Look for beautiful knitwear to keep you toasty warm this season. At Designer High Street, we love this long masculine style cardigan. If you love patterns try this cream patterned cardigan. For really cosy knitwear with great textures try a poncho cardigan or a green cable rollneck sweater . For boho look this bolero style cardigan  looks great layered with neutral coloured tops.
 
 
 
 
 
The skirt suit was seen at Bottega Veneta, Chanel, Miu Miu with skirts knee length or below, jackets double breasted or fitted and flaring at the waist. Top to toe black was seen at Chloe and Karl Lagerfeld.  For a really slim sillouette try this black merino sweater dress with black opaque tights and black shoes. 1940’s is a key trend for this season as seen at Christian Dior and Gucci. Try teaming ladylike below the knee pencil or a line skirts with black tights, and turtle neck and cinching in at the waist with a belt, lady like gloves and Mary Jane shoes complete the look. Padding and Quilted effects were seen at MaxMara, Emmanuel Ungaro, Marios Schwab - Go for long or short style padded coats or gillets. We liked this pewter metallic look gillet. Mary Jane shoes as seen at Chanel are great teamed with tights for this seasons forties look. For a new take on this shoe look for details such as double straps or platform soles. Great versions from the high street are these two strap platform shoes and for  a slightly more practical and lower heel button shoes.
